Council Bluff Interpretive Monument

Lewis is depicted handing the Peace Medal to a Native American Chief as Clark looks on. 
A limited edition of 100 maquettes has been authorized by the Board of Directors of the Washington County Historical Association. Proceeds from the sale of the maquette will be used to fund monument development.


The maquette is a 1/6th scale rendering of the full sized figures. Each figure in the maquette is cast in bronze and placed in the same arrangement as they will appear in the final work of art. The figures are set on a bronze surface mounted to a solid walnut base with a swivel mechanism built into the stand. Maquette dimensions are 15 3/4" x 22 3/8" x 19 3/8" and the weight is 77 lbs. Any available edition number can be reserved by making a down payment of ½ the purchase price. Final payment including shipping and taxes are due before delivery. Purchases of the maquette are deemed by the IRS to indicate true market value of the piece. Therefore, according to IRS guidelines, no part of the purchase price shall be considered a charitable contribution for tax purposes.
