The Nebraska State Historical Society has designated nine locations in Washington County with State Historic Markers.  The Society is responsible for commemorating significant events, people, places, sites, movements, and traditions in Nebraska history by coordinating the erection of historical markers.  For more information about Nebraska Historical Markers, please visit the NSHS website.
