Washington County Historical Association

This organization's purpose is the preservation of the history of Washington County, Nebraska and vicinity for future generations and to acquire, preserve, and exhibit, relics, mementos, historic records and other artifacts of historical interest of said area and of Nebraska, and to provide the public the opportunity to experience that history through programs, exhibits and education at the Museum, Frahm House and Fontanelle Town Hall.

It is through memberships and donations that the Association is able to maintain its commitment and goals. If you would like to join us, please contact the Museum staff for information about volunteering or donations.

The Washington County Historical Association is a private organization incorporated as a Nebraska 501(c) 3 not-for-profit corporation The Association maintains a Board of Directors whose members are elected primarily from Washington County to serve one-year terms. An executive director provides overall supervision of the operation. WCHA is funded by grants from Washington County, fees, and generous gifts from corporations and foundations.
