2013 Diamond Year at the Bank
Come visit us in this, the 75th year as a museum at the Bank.
Exhibits will include military uniforms at the Bank and aprons at the Frahm House.
We will have a complete W-CHAT series with some great presenters.
We will be having several special exhibits including student art of the county.
We will have a Joslyn exhibit of prints from the Bodmer collection in November.
And of course we have Tractors Tall and Small V on August 10, 2013.
Memorials
We have received several memorials recently. They are much appreciated. The Frances Sheppard family and friends honored her memory. The Allen Cemetery Association honored May Allen Lazure, John M. Allen and William H Allen with their donation.
Tea Anyone?
For groups of ten or less, the Frahm House is an excellent place to hold a tea. Sade or Catherine will be happy to explain the fine art of serving this excellent beveridge in the repast of your choice.
For a luncheon tea the cost is $10 per person and includes tea and sandwiches and a sweet or two.
For an afternoon tea of sweets and tea the cost is $8.
For High Tea, which can only officially be served after 5:00 PM and is a virtual mouth watering repast including an entre, the cost is $15 per person.
Should you want a full dinner, that cost is $20 per person and you may bring your own wine to complete the meal. Contact Diane Jensen for details at 402-468-4915.
Tractors Tall and Small
It is time to be planning to attend the fifth annual Tractor Show. August 10, 2013 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. In and around the Museum in Fort Calhoun. Make plans now to participate in the tractor ride and pancake breakfast. Of course we will still have the tractors on display and the pedal tractor pull for all ages. We will also continue the hay scramble. It promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Fort Atkinson Book Available
Stop by to see the new Fort Atkinson book on sale at the museum. Cost is $21.99 + tax. Members get a 10% discount. While you are at it, check out the other fine items available in the gift shop.
