Char:
The main area was the "Highlights" photos. These are the various
photos that show up on the home page and the text that goes with them.
Basically, we would like someone to write more interesting text about them (like
why this piece matters to the museum) and maybe identify more items for Nathan
to photograph. It would take doing some research and then writing what you find
interesting about the item.
Diane could probably use some help with the "organization" page as
well if that would be more interesting to you. For example, we want to develop
some text about the following topics:
History: How we were started, major projects we've done (e.g. Ft. Atkinson,
First Council, additions, etc.)
Volunteers: how you can volunteer and what kinds of things you can volunteer to
do
Donations & Memorial gifts: how you can donate $$
Donating Materials: A summary of the accessions policy
TrailBlazers: what this program is (I think Diane was going to start by just
putting the brochure on line first).
501(c)3 information: basically just info that we are a 501(c)3 and that people
should check with their employer to see if they would match donations given to
the WCHA.
Board: how we operate, we may list names (that has to be discussed at a board
meeting)
Committees: What committees the board has and what they do
